Many things can make me happy. Accomplishing a long, difficult task that challenges me, hot sand sticking between my wet toes, playing music or having someone I care about tell me that they were thinking of me....just to name a few.
And saying the word schnitzel.
Extra credit: Elliot Smith- Happiness. His sound always reminds me of the Monkees for some reason. Isn't he dead?
Well, that was quick. Yes, Elliot Smith is dead. :(
Since I'm writing, I'll list some of the things that make me happy:
1. Music 2. Being outdoors surrounded by nature. 3. Sour Patch Kids 4. Being in love 5. Playing with a toddler 6. Napping next to an open window on a cool crisp autumn afternoon 7. Hugs 8. Seeing an old friend 9. Hallmark commercials (I know, I know, I can't help it!) 10. Walking in freshly fallen snow under a moonlight sky 11. Oatmeal raisin cookies 12. Kindness, both given and received 13. An unexpected email from an old friend 14. Giving blood 15. Laughing 16. Singing 17. Driving on a gorgeous day on winding roads along the shoreline where I live. 18. Feeling loved 19. My cats 20. My life
my neices and nephews my kitties my adopted puppies my friends and family my handsome the smell of cigars mint chocolate chip ice cream seems so simple - but having enough money to pay my bills every month the smell of a new car the smell of spring and summer the smell of fresh cut grass the smell of the first fall fire girls nights
okay, so having read all the comments i realize that i didn't actually answer your question, just the extra credit at the bottom. as much as Rush make me happy in their own right, they're not the only thing.
you know what makes me truly happy--peace, health and unconditional love from my kitties, mom and michael.
being independently wealthy would help but i'll find happiness without that for now.

Ahem, the answer is...Rush--Freewill.
I WAS the biggest Rush fan around in highschool. and i rock at memorizing lyrics to songs that mean something to me.
actually as soon as i saw the title i sang it to myself in my head.
I WANT my ring dings. What are they?
